What applies to a Coomera install
Council and network
Coomera has no heritage constraints, and panels on an existing home are accepted development under the City Plan. The practical constraint is the network: Energex feeders in the new estates are heavily loaded with solar, so single-phase homes get the standard 5 kW export cap and we commission inverters with Energex's Volt-Watt settings. A dynamic connection can lift export to 10 kW when the local network has capacity. Some estate covenants restrict street-visible panels; we design around them.

Why is my export limited to 5 kW in Coomera?
Energex caps single-phase export at 5 kW on a standard connection because the estate feeders already carry a lot of solar. You can still install 10 kW with export limiting, or apply for a dynamic connection that raises the cap when the network has room.
My estate covenant says no visible panels. What are my options?
Most Coomera roofs have an east or west plane away from the street that produces within 10 percent of a north-facing array. We lay out the system there and send you a rendered view for the covenant approval.
Is a battery worth it for a Coomera home?
